{Solitary Survivor.

An a w f u l noise
Filled the air;
I heard a scream
In the woods somewhere.

Main Verse: DBD/Dead By Daylight.
Used with other DBD verse accounts or most commonly used/referenced. Estimated age: 24-28; closer to the later years as earlier years are only used in settings specified for earlier realm dates. Headcanons and lore center around this verse.
Jake is primarily a survivor stuck in the Entity's realm. One of the first survivors taken: he is a skilled survivalist, taken from the woodsy mountains he was living off-grid on.However:In recent years of being trapped in the realm, he's begun experiencing an uncontrollable shift. What started as a punishment for his exploration of the fog-ridden forest in search of clues to his Grandfather's whereabouts and subsequently a potential escape from this nightmare ... became permanent.A monster clawed its way through him and built a home within his human shell. Occasional furry appendages were the least of concern: claws and teeth became weapons of cruelty against the very people he was meant to stand beside in a place they could only describe as hell.Saving his team from the sting of sharp iron hooks had become a thing of the past: he became the one plunging hooks into them. A homemade spear once used to hunt for food became a weapon used on the very people he was meant to help.Their grand puppeteer - the Entity - stoked the flames of Jake's frustrations with his fellow survivors: urging him to use that agitation to hunt. from miniscule struggles to grander disagreements, it whispered reason after reason to coax him into compliance ... until killer instincts and canine desires became irresistible.Their blood haunted his tongue and lingered on sharpened canines. The sound of screams became encouragement instead of frustration. He'd become the very thing they were fighting day in and day out against: a killer.Temporary, however— he was granted normalcy after weeks of horror. The monster would disappear. A reprieve for all.......But it came again and again until one day, it didn't relinquish its hold on him. He couldn't shake the wolf from his core. Survivor's soul tangled with killer instincts. They were permanently tethered together. The wolf slumbers inside of him while Jake is left trying to regain trust from a team of survivors that now saw him differently— now a daily battle to not wake the monster.See the below Killer verse for details of his powers.ɪ ғᴇᴇʟ ᴀ ʜ̲ᴜ̲ɴ̲ɢ̲ᴇ̲ʀ̲ ...& ᴡʜᴇɴ ᴛʜᴇ ᴡʜɪsᴘᴇʀs ɢᴇᴛ ᴛᴏᴏ ʟ ᴏ ᴜ ᴅ ...ɪ *ʟᴏ𝐬ᴇ ᴄᴏɴᴛʀᴏʟ.✩₊˚.⋆☾𓃦☽⋆⁺₊✧

Killer DetailsAppearance:
Gifted lycanthrope powers, he appears human in most cases, dawning a more animalistic attire with fur clinging to green leather and a cage muzzle. The latter is his attempt to control himself from hurting fellow survivors for as long as possible. It's an additional sign of his chosen silence as he attempts to hold back his bitter, snarky quips.
His body partially shifts on instinct when making strikes-- hand donning clawed digits covered in fur up to elbow.Full transformation puts him into an extraordinarily large wolf form. Onyx fur hard to the touch and paws abnormally large.Overview & PowerThe Lycan is a transformative killer with three unique forms:
At the start of a trial, he is human at phase 1.
At phase 2, he becomes a half-wolf with subtly enhanced abilities.
And at phase 3, he becomes a full-wolf with significantly enhanced abilities.
Phase 1 is achieved at the start of the trial and at the end of phase 3.
Phase 2 is achieved when the Lunar Gauge reaches halfway/50 seconds.
Phase 3 is achieved when the Lunar Gauge is full/100 seconds. Phase 3 regresses per every 1 second and ends at 120 seconds. The Lycan returns to phase 1. Add-ons can alter this.
Lunar Gauge:
The Lunar Gauge is a unique function to the Lycan that effects his shifting and powers.
Capacity: 100 Seconds
Gain: 1 second for every 1 second for every survivor working on a generator, cleansing a totem, unhooking a survivor or unlocking an exit gate.
Gain: 20 for every successful basic attack hit.
Phase 1 utilizes the hunting spear as a weapon.
Phase 2 utilizes the hunting spear as a weapon. Walking speed and vaulting speed are increased. Destroy dropped pallets and damage generators 20% faster.
Phase 3 utilizes lunge bite as a weapon. Lunge bite puts the survivor into the dying state upon a successful hit. You can no longer destroy pallets or damage generators. You can vault windows faster.
His personal perks Prey Drive, Call Of the Wild, and Sheepskin allow him to easily locate survivors and blend in to get the upper hand.

Secondary Main Verse: Escaped AU/After DBD
This verse is used when interacting with any characters that I am unfamiliar with or don't have a DBD verse; can also be used upon request. Age: 33-38.
Key facts & Headcanons- He is homeless and of a drifter. He can more often be found pitching a tent in the nearest wooded area of wherever the other muse may be located. If he's lucky, he may have found an abandoned cabin to squat in.- He'll have little knowledge of the world he's returned to as he will be returned to his off-grid home in the mountains in Korea. Meaning, if in another verse, he likely will not be all too aware of the state of the world (plagues, apocalypses, wars, etc.).- He is flat broke. What little money was left hidden in the cabin will be insinuated to have been used in traveling to the new area he makes a home out of. I will often move him around to suit whomever I'm writing with.- He makes money offering to do off-hand jobs here and there, often under the table. Let him walk your dog or build your shed. He'll probably sell some woodwork/carvings on the streets, too.- His family will not know he is back and this is a subject he may avoid breaching seriously with folks as he knows he is in the wrong - but he is not quite ready and worried he is still attracting danger. Danger he does not wish to lead to them.- He will be reluctant to admit where he was for the past decade; but he will certainly crack morbid jokes about it. While he believes others will deem him insane, he seeks the chance to talk about it in hopes of coping. Additionally, he will worry that telling others may either 1. get him dragged in by law enforcement (be it to find his family or deemed insane) or 2. endanger the person he's told.- He has no idea if the other survivors got out and this will often haunt him and cause strong feelings of survivor's-guilt.- Likewise, he doesn't know if the killers have either. In some instances, it will be depicted that the a killer/some killers are hunting Jake down to bring him back to the realm. Whether this is true or not will be determined based on each individual storyline written. But the fear will always be present.- Because of this fear, he may or may not deem the muses he interacts with as a danger or untrustworthy. While he may trust them at first, the paranoia may eventually kick in and cause him to doubt them.- H o w he escaped isn't known. He weighs the idea that the Entity kicked him after digging too far into the realm to find his Grandfather - but this will be proven untrue if other survivors have escaped alongside him.- He exists the same way he did in the realm: hunting to eat and using natural water sources to bathe. On the off chance that he comes across shelters that offer these things, he'll use them - but he's extremely hesitant to do so for reasons above including distrust and fear of danger.- He will find himself struggling with the lack of physical pain - something he'd grown so accustomed to. This could lead to him encouraging fights or egging for one in order to help himself find some sense of peace.- Just as in the realm, he will still be damn giddy if food is mentioned.- He may or may not be aware of his Father's search parties and missing signs. This will depend on the storyline and will likely change in the middle of writing with folks as I like to think he wouldn't initially know, but will be made aware.- Depending on the storyline, I am willing to write Jake as a character that has survival goods gathered and kept in a hidden location for survival during an apocalypse situation. This is kind of a talk-about situation as it's less post-realm and more just apocalypse-AU. But in this event, Jake would definitely be the prepared type and know how to get by. Fully able to set up traps and stay hidden.Additional Backstory
Jake went into the realm with an onslaught of troubled thoughts. Ironically, some of those troubled thoughts would have been sorted through his time in the realm. Half-way through his time there, he began to believe his Grandfather was also taken by the Entity - searching for him through the realms. Whether successful in finding him or not, Jake would come to learn how to forgive his family and former life, growing warmer and more appreciative of what he did have while seeking to live like his Grandfather. A kind, selfless, and understanding man.
Despite this warmer side coming to the surface, Jake would still struggle to live after the realm. Hints began to appear that the Entity had used his desire to meet his Grandfather against him - painting the picture that he'd been taken to the realm for Jake to willingly stay within the fog. In part, this was used against him to build a sense of distrust as he waffled on believing the image was actually his Grandfather or just the Entity twisting his views. Additionally, suffering from obvious PTSD and perpetual paranoia, he'd constantly be looking over his shoulder. Always low-key on edge and with a weapon on hand at all times. He'd have a hard time telling his family he's back. Having forgiven them but still not wanting to live the way they do, he would seek a way to let them know he's alive but not return to their arms. Closest he may come is telling his brother.Jake has been listed as a missing person for over six years now. In his first year of missing, his Mother posted "missing" signs all through Korea as she knew he'd gone there but had no idea where exactly. She posted them in America too - particularly near his favored mountains to hike out in Georgia and Colorado. His brother also went to Korea to look for him. Neither succeeded in finding any clues to his disappearance. For this reason, three years after his disappearance, he's presumed dead by the masses. His family does not share this belief and his father continues to run campaigns and meetups for people with similar cases of missing loved ones. Low and behold, his father fights to find him the most, despite having left on bad terms with him.His father, per the lore, is known to have started gatherings to search for missing people. Stretching this into his return from the realm, these gatherings will still be ongoing until Jake comes forth to admit he's back.Living in the woods is his ideal - but he'd likely venture to civilization more often due to anxieties stemming from the wooded area mirroring the realm he fought hard to escape. While he may continue to live off-grid, it is possible his anxieties would push him to find a way to mesh into society. In a case like this, he may work at a local wildlife park or sell woodwork.Hunger would be a hurdle as Jake was taken when he was fighting to find food. Now constantly worried of starvation. Technology would be a second hurdle - something he gave up years prior to the realm. Tack on an additional 6+ years and he's clearly quite behind the times. Sleep is the third hurdle. Having experienced nightmares/terrors before the realm, they have worsened.Depending on the situation, additional details regarding his behavior after escaping include: Survivors guilt over the other survivors not escaping, greater distrust for most people, lack of income combined with a sense of self-reliance means he feels uncomfortable in situations requiring money/cost, mixed feelings on mountainous woods - longs for the adventure still but fearful of the same result, may feel a little more inclined to talk to people despite the lack of trust if only because the realm did give him a sense of comfort with other people in the same situation as him, and a tolerance for pain that almost makes him feel unalive without it.While free of the realm, Jake is not free of his inner monster. The wolf still slumbers within him and he lives every day trying to keep it asleep. Dread of being a threat to other humans keeps him from interacting much with society.

Additional VersesThe below verses are less used but may be requested if you wish to write them!

Before The Realm AUMore likely to be used in situations of verses that require a younger or more modern version of Jake or at request. Estimated age: 20-23A college student a few years in. Attending for zoology - failing, mind you. At his parents disapproval, he's attending a local college while plotting his run-away attempt. His younger brother is attending Harvard, doing exceedingly better which his parents often point out. Jake is blatantly fighting to ignore the expectations that he'll be the family heir and carry on the family name as well as fill in the CEO position his father has.He and his brother are close. The closest thing to a friend Jake has. Occasionally dragged into his brother's college parties when he returns home and/or can go visit. The only social gatherings he attends and where he has most experiences that include a story. He works part-time and seasonally at their local zoo.General Horror Verse/no DBD relation
May not be used much since I prefer using the escaped idea as a more general horror verse; however, if someone requests no DBD relation, then maybe this would be used.
Take out the Entity and the realm and Jake's just a survivalist living off grid in the woodsy mountains of South Korea, specifically Taebaek mountain in the same cabin he squatted in the DBD verse. Capable of putting up quite the fight since he is a self-taught hunter and lives off the land. Often carries at least a hunting knife on him at all times. Has a wide variety of hunting tools including weapons and traps. Fully capable of using hunting guns, bows, bear traps, and fishing spears. He has a ridiculous amount of knowledge on wildlife, particularly zoology-- and is adept in directions and surviving off of next to nothing. Probably the guy you'd seek for help in an apocalypse if you even knew he existed.Futuristic/Cyber AU
Used at request. Estimated age: 28-31
Spun entirely off of a discussed plot with a friend - all I can offer at this point is that Jake would be an assassin in this verse. Living off grid (shocking no one this is a common theme). Entirely disconnected from his family and society, much angrier with them in this verse. Particularly due to their involvement with another group of higher-ups up to no good. He refuses to be associated with them or those in their inner circle, even if his parents insist they are only doing what they must to keep in good standing with society. Colder in this verse and more likely to be rude. He's skilled in his work as an assasin, but actually quite dislikes it. Finding it to be still too involved with society.
This was specifically catering to the John Wick movies and has a vague cyber-punk vibe, but obviously can be altered. Just know he only goes into civilization to get his intel and missions.
Medieval/Fantasy AU
Used at request. Estimated age: 26-28 | this version is a work in progress and may change at a whim.
Born into royalty, Jake grew up with the expectation that he'd be the heir to the crown. His blatant disinterest in abiding by the rules that came with this role and aspiring to live less tied-down caused turmoil between him and his father.
Jake took to teaching his younger brother what his father taught him in hopes he could take his place. But when his father rejected the idea, Jake opted to do the only other thing he could think of: run away.In knowing that his father would send someone to track him down, he conceived a plan with a band of pirates to play it off like he had been kidnapped during a pillage and likely killed - offering what gold and funds he could to meet their needs. His disappearance left his father to place his brother, Ethan, in his shoes. Something his brother easily proves his capabilities of succeeding at.Meanwhile, Jake takes to the mountains across the ocean in unclaimed land. Making himself at home in the woods, he primarily interacts with the elven folk living at the base of the mountain. He builds himself a reputation as a mercenary and hunter for hire, capable of hunting creatures that regular folks struggled against. His abilities to handle wildlife so well carve out skepticism on his human heritage - particularly his ability to work with dragons. Capable of killing, but capable of training as well.He spends his days teaching himself self-survival and hunting skills. But his father is no fool and fully believes Jake to be alive, creating a game of hide and seek.Key facts & Headcanons:
- He only ever knew his parents and brother as relatives. His father refused to speak of his parents.
- The village often tells him how he resembles someone they knew which leaves him perplexed as his parents drilled into his head that both always resided across the ocean in the capital.
- His Grandmother is actually from across the ocean and his Grandfather frequently visited the same region Jake is currently residing in. He doesn't know this. Only his father does.
- Whether or not he's human is up for debate; haven't fully decided. But he is capable of utilizing magic - something he isn't yet aware of.
- His father has put out a reward for his safe return.
- He was being set for an arranged marriage but due to his own disinterest, he did not know them at all.

Jake Park was born to a wealthy family. He is the eldest of two, and thus the heir to his family's wealth and legacy. The pressure was on from the moment he was conceived in his mother's womb. His parents had high expectations for him. Unfortunately, he never really figured out how to meet those expectations. He struggled with his studies and was even picked on often by classmates for his inability to read well. His father didn't believe him. That same man tried to persuade Jake to do well by hanging money over his head as inspiration. Money makes the world go round, his father practically said. It secures a person a safe and easy life. Jake didn't see things that way. Instead, he wanted nothing more than to just ... live without it. Without money. Without pressure. Without expectations from others. His father forces him into a prestigious college to pursue a Business Degree that he flops at just as badly as he did at high school. His younger brother, however, made it through Yale before Jake even finished enough courses to secure himself an associate's degree. He eventually drops out of college which leads him back home to his parents.Fight, after fight, after fight ensues. He disappears to the Red Mountain half-way across the United States - in Georgia. It's there he remains until his mother convinces him to return home, worried for her son's well-being.An agreement is reached to allow him to minor in what he chooses at a local college. He takes this chance to learn Zoology - but he struggled with his major in Business.Eventually, he stumbles upon a letter in their attic ... A letter from his grandfather.
Wasn't he dead?
That's what his father told him.
How did they get this letter?
Jake wanted nothing more than to read it, but it was in his father's native language. His years in their home country, South Korea, were limited - having moved to America shortly after the birth of his younger birth.
It was the angriest he had ever seen his father when he approached him about what the letter said. What makes you think it's okay to rummage through my things? Jake could practically feel the man's own blood boiling just from standing nearby. Don't ever bring this up again!Something snapped in Jake that day. His father, Sam, knew how Jake felt about his Grandfather. What letters had come to them that he could read always filled Jake with glee and excitement. Stories of grand adventures that he longed to join him on. His father would never allow it - he was much to young. By the time he came of age to try, the letters had stopped and he was told his Grandfather had died. This letter he found, however, didn't align with his father's timeline. Something told him that the truth was being hidden from him. If his father wouldn't tell him what the letter said, then he'd figure it out on his own.Off he went. With a single backpack, he disappeared for years to come - this time to traverse across Korea to the mountains his Grandfather had spoken about in his original letters. He built a basecamp - no, a home - out of an abandoned cabin in the woods, akin to the one he often spend weeks at in Georgia. He used the knowledge he'd taught himself back then to survive here on this mountain: from hunting to fishing to gardening. Living off the land had been a dream of his ... and he was delighted to finally be doing it.Much of his time was spent venturing different parts of South Korea in pursuit of anyone who could assist with his grandfather's legacy. Along the way he met many people who knew his grandfather. Regaling on story after story. Based on what his father had said growing up, he assumed his grandfather was nothing more than a deadbeat father and selfish man. So .. when people told him the stories ... the stories of how his grandfather saved so many lives on those mountains-- how his father carried wounded soldiers through the woods of Blood Mountain-- how his father fed and provided for dozens and dozens of people that he led through treacherous weather to a safer homeland-- how his grandfather was recognized as a hero ... he was relieved. The stories he'd told Jake in those letters hadn't been a lie.So why was his father lying? For weeks to come he struggled to wrap his head around all of the new information flooding his brain. His imagination was going wild with all the stories. Why would his father lie? Calls from his mother often included this question. Please come home. She continued to beg him to return to them. He means well. He loves you.No he doesn’t. I’m just a foot that he tried to mold to fit his stupid pristine shoe. I don’t want to be that. She argued: If you think that, you don’t know him. He still holds onto that photo of the two of you. He loves you as you....I don’t believe you.She pleaded: Jake, please. Come home. You can finish the letter to him. Talk to him. Hear him out. It’s been years. You’ll see.Ah, the letter he started to write to his father. The letter about all of his pent up feelings of never being good enough-- never being the kid his father wanted him to be-- never being heard-- always being bribed-- the expectations to be perfect and not miss a beat. The letter. He could...But no, he couldn’t. Especially not now. What he'd found during his venture only revealed a deeper mystery:His Grandfather never died.He went missing. Enveloped by a dark fog that took him some place no one else could find him; up deep in the very mountains that Jake had been camping in.Maybe Jake could found him. A new goal. And when his father would call him crazy for it? Prove him wrong, said the whisper. He was called insane for choosing to go further up the mountain with only a backpack. A death sentence. But if there was any hope he could find his Grandfather out there ... he had to try. It's what his Grandfather would have done for anyone else. How wrong he was.One cold night was not enough to chase him away when he could easily build himself a fire. A day of hunger was defeated. Thirst was an easy fix. Months of living off grid had prepared him for this.Again, how wrong he was.Game got harder to catch as the climate chilled. Fresh out of granola bars and tea ... Sleep became a thing of the past as he shivered his way through the night. He could hear the kids from school mocking his poor choice just as much as his father. Chasing off the thoughts, he pressed on to find food. The hunt was.. Difficult. Between the cold and hunger, he struggled to keep himself steady. His body shook and his vision blurred. Countless voices echoed in his mind and it took a lot of willpower to push them away.Focus.Victory is claimed with a prized hog. Relief is too immediate. His delirious state has him hallucinating only minutes into dropping the thing at his campsite. What are you doing out here? What are you hoping to prove? Go home. You’re being a fool.
No. His father was the fool. He'd find his grandfather-- he'd prove he could survive just fine without all those digits in a bank account ...
That’s if you survive. Look at yourself.Listening to a dead animal tell you to re-evaluate your choices really is … an odd experience. Jake did his best to shake it off.You can shake me off, but you can’t shake off the guilt you’ll feel when you realize how much time you wasted up here instead of spending time with your loved ones while you still can.He frowns at that last bit. What if it's right? What if he really is just out here signing his life away all just to ... say he could do it? He still hadn't found any evidence of his grandfather's trail, either.
Momentary reevaluation meant he'd barely put a dent into his meal. Much of the boar remained ... and its scent had attracted visitors. Howls in the distance: wolves.
Instincts sent him to the trees with the remnants of the hog carcass in hand - leaving behind his bag with its home-made bow and arrow. Weaponless and weary, he watches the hungry pack circle him with intense interest. How was he going to get out of this one ... A sense of hopelessness overcomes him.Let me go, Jake. That voice pleads in his mind again - the same one begging him to tuck tail and return home. The voice of a dead hog. Insanity truly was gripping at him, wasn't it?This is not worth losing your life to. Let go of your hatred for a man who wants nothing more than to spend time with you - time he never got with his father. Let go of your resentment for someone who was only trying to look out for you, his son. Let go of your pride ...L e t. G o.F o r g i v e.The remains of the lifeless hog slip from his finger and the wolves descend upon it quickly, scurrying off and snarling giddily. It’s fine. There was a hunger in their eyes that he couldn’t ignore, anyway. They were starved for food the same way he was starved for an answer to his questions. But maybe this wasn't where he needed to be to find them. This wasn't about finding his grandfather. This was about learning to forgive his father.Hope warms his chest ... he was going home. But again: how wrong he was.Feet don't make it far before a thick fog rolls in over the mountains. Sudden fog? In the winter mountains? Odd.He convinces himself to continue onward ... a turn and a squint. Then another turn and squint.Wait: which way is home? A brief glance to his compass and his heart sinks. The arrow spins: unable to properly orient itself. No, no, no. Follow the marks on the trees you left. You’ll be fine.He was not, in fact, fine. That fog never dissipated. It only got worse until it eventually… swallowed him.Just like your Grandfather.

An independent portrayl of Jake Park from Dead By Daylight. I do not own the rights to Jake Park or Dead By Daylight. This is my own spin on him. Some information is based on canon lore/information, some of it is my own.
Please note: I began writing Jake prior to much of his lore being established by Bhvr in game. I have opted to keep most of what I crafted for him, though much of it aligns.
➼ 18 + Only. MDNI.➼ Dark themes ahead: Blood, gore, death, violence, strong language, sexual content, toxic relationships, and mental-emotional instability.➼ Personal Touches to Jake's Character: In the 5 years that I have written Jake on Twitter, I have hosted a handful of KillerAU events where Jake is a Lycan. I have decided to integrate this permanently into my portrayal instead of having it as an AU that only occurs once in a while. Please know that there will be periodic mentions of his struggles with the scent of blood, urges to bite/kill, depression over guilt, conflicted feelings for killers and survivors alike, etc. This is expanded on in the Verses tab of this Carrd.➼ Important Info: This Carrd is long; I don't expect you to read every headcanon I have on Jake. But I did mark the important ones in the Headcanon section that you should probably take a look at.➼ NSFW: Although my account is overall 18+, lewd is very obviously 18+ for both muse and mun. Lewd is to be kept in DMs; maximum interaction for timeline is kissing and affectionate touches.➼ Personal preference: Please keep me out of drama. I'll happily listen to folks vent/etc, and appreciate being told when someone is problematic so that I may block/remove them; but otherwise, I don't really wish to partake.➼ Writing Style: I deeply crave emotional and/or dark RolePlays; but I'll often engage with crack/silly shenanigans on the Timeline. I'll reflect whatever length you give, but I do tend to write a lot and can get carried away. If you prefer shorter, tell me.➼ Reply Times: There may come times where I'm more often replying to shorter threads or "in the moment" threads. I often have things bookmarked and promise I will get to them; but sometimes I want to engage in writing but may not have the time to do lengthy or deeper responses.➼ Cross-overs: I'm open to cross-overs, but I have limited knowledge on a lot of things so bear with me. I greatly enjoy throwing Jake into other verses, especially ones I don't know much about. It's fun and interesting to learn along with him.➼ OOC: My DMs are always open for plotting or chatting! I might be too shy to dive into yours first, but if you're comfortable diving into mine, I'll almost always reply. <3➼ RL ≠ RP: Mun Real Life and RolePlay are completely separate. Jake and I are not the same person. What he does is not what I'd do; how he feels is not how I feel. etc.➼ Shipping: I'm a multi-shipper and label Jake as Bisexual/Demisexual. I will do lewd/nsfw in DMs and am happy to plot romantic connections. H o w e v e r, there will be other RolePlays with relationships as well. It takes him a while to warm up to the idea of a relationship and trusting someone. Generally, Jake will not pursue a romantic connection unless the other writer and/or their muse expresses interest first. And while he's very doting on his partners, he will still experience bouts of doubt and/or desires to bolt. Please don't take it personally!
Shipping Sidenote: Doubles are accepted unless/until otherwise stated.
Shipping Sidenote: I am happy to discuss doing complex relationships including breakups, unrequited feelings, polyships, etc.
➼ Faceclaim: I have no faceclaim because I honestly do not know famous people by name or anything of that nature and suck at finding this sort of stuff. :') His appearance will alter depending on the cosmetic being used in the scene in the DBD verse. Outside of the DBD verse, one can assume he's donning his original cosmetic in DBD or the Lone Wolf cosmetic.➼ Doubles: Other Jakes are more than welcomed! <3

Headcanons➼ Important: He named one of the crows in the realm Soot and she is his best friend. <3 | Soot has a damaged left talon.➼ Important: Jake now suffers a split in his character between being survivor and killer: he has lycanthropy and will act on killer (wolf) instincts sometimes. Please reference the Verses tab for information on this.➼ Important: Jake built himself a treehouse in the woods that's separate from the communal campfire. He will spend a lot of time at his own campsite to avoid the crowd; it is not far from the group fire, but is out of sight.➼ Important: Jake's escaped AU/post-realm will have a tattoo of Soot to pay homeage to her. He will also retain scars on his hands and a scar over his chest and shoulder for where the hook repeatedly went in. All other scars were successfully healed by the Entity before his escape.➼ Important: He spends time searching the realm for clues on his Grandfather's disappearance. He began to wonder if he was taken by the fog, too, since they had gone missing on the same mountain/in similar circumstances. He also began seeing hallucinations of his Grandfather in the realm which further fueled his curiosity.
➼ His investigation on his Grandfather's whereabouts is primarily what got him cursed with lycanthropy/Killer instincts. It's been deemed a punishment by the Entity and a way to keep Jake too busy to be out venturing as much.
➼ Ironically, I have an additional headcanon that the Entity also uses hallucinations of Jake's Grandfather against him in an attempt to get him to return to the campfire.
➼ Any secrets he's uncovered about the Entity during his excursions to the towers/out in the fog are often blurred from his memory by the Entity.
Skills:
➼ He prides himself in being able to understand animals well.
➼ He is a self-taught hunter & survivalist.
➼ He knows some woodwork & has woodcarving skills.
Family:
➼ He comes from a rich family but lived off the grid without them for a long while.
➼ He has always had a rocky relationship with his father, but maintained connections with his mother when he disappeared to the mountains prior to being taken by the Entity.
➼ His father's name is Sam Park; his mother's name is Hana Park; and his brother's name is Ethan Park.
➼ His father started a search group for individuals that went missing the way Jake did; he even recruited some of the other survivor's relatives/loved ones.
➼ His father has found a way to enter the realm without being trapped and has searched it for Jake. He's left letters behind for Jake to find, created a codex, and discovered towers filled with secrets.
➼ Jake has also found these towers (not canon; personal headcanon used for writing purposes) - but anytime he has come across the letters from his father, the Entity has blurred his memory of it and/or convinced him it was a dream.
➼ Despite the pressure it put on him, he was also close to his younger brother, whom graduated from Yale with honors. He sometimes feels guilt having left his brother in fear he'll suffer the pressures of their father.
➼ He looks up to his Grandfather, who he hardly remembers due to his disappearance being during Jake's youth, but was known by locals for doing great things and helping people along his travels. He was declared a hero by some communities in South Korea for having helped people through the mountains.
➼ He has trust issues from his Father lying about his Grandfather's life and the letters that had been sent to them from his Grandfather.
➼ He was very fond of his Grandmother; she passed before he was taken to the realm. She came to visit them in the US during holidays; on occasion they went to South Korea to visit her, but less often due to his father's work.
➼ He always felt like he didn't belong to the world he was born into & struggled with not knowing what he wanted to do in his life.
Personality:
➼ He was raised to be a gentleman with manners, but is particularly awkward engaging with women or femme-presenting individuals. He finds them be vaguely intimidating in general.
➼ He is particularly awkward with physical touch/affection, not having experienced much of it growing up.
➼ He has poor conversational skills.
➼ He isn't fond of the rich lifestyle; he prefers cabins to houses and nature to technology.
Struggles:
➼ He is slightly uncomfortable with doctors, partly due to his parents not taking him as much in fear of him being diagnosed with any.. "issues", so they called them.
➼ He has undiagnosed and untreated dyslexia; he struggles with reading.
➼ He has a very active imagination & sometimes sees things - often when trying to sleep.
➼ He suffers nightmares & night terrors.
➼ He hears voices; but this is due to the Entity and the Lycanthropy he now suffers from.
➼ He worries over being used monetary gain or status due to his father's status as CEO of a relatively large corporation.
➼ Due to the Entity taking him after weeks of difficulties finding food, he experiences sensations of starvation and has a bit of a love for food in the realm.
Likes:
➼ He loves verbal stories & listening.
➼ He prefers the company of animals and talks to them.
➼ He enjoys the quiet and would enjoy sitting in silence with someone over talking.
➼ He can surf and enjoys the ocean. He's also been attacked by a shark when surfing, losing a chunk of his surfboard in the process.
➼ His favorite food dish is Bulgogi; he also enjoys a good venison steak.
DBD Perk Based:
➼ He has a high pain tolerance. Iron will.
➼ He prefers a toolkit to a flashlight or medkit. Sabotage.
➼ He talks to the crows and feeds them. Calm spirit.
Heritage&History:
➼ He loathes expectations. His father had high ones; Jake didn't meet them.
➼ He lived in America but isn't the best at reading and his writing is chicken scratch at best.
➼ He knows a little bit of Korean after his travels and from his youth.
➼ His parents moved them to America in his childhood, but his grandparents still lived in Korea - though his grandfather had gone missing before Jake was old enough to recall much/if any of him. They took their sons to visit their grandmother often. They ceased visiting Korea as much after his Grandmother passed in his pre-teens.
Animals:
➼ He loves animals, but he does enjoy meat. Not normally huge on sweets.
➼ He is respectful in his kills and often thanks the animals he kills.
➼ If he finds a dead animal, he will bury it. He used to do this for roadkill.
➼ His favorite animals are wolves, raccoons, and, shocking no one, birds.
➼ He favors dogs but behaves like a cat. He does, however, like cats, too.
➼ Before being cast in the role of a Lycan, he made a wolf-costume for Halloween - an ironic twist of fate. This cosmetic is sometimes worn during his killer-episodes.
➼ Recent cosmetics indicate Jake's family had a dog; I am sticking to my headcanon that his family strictly did not allow pets. But Jake did interact with stray cats and dogs. He once brought home a wounded rat and helped it heal.
➼ He was the type to stop and remove roadkill from the road as he found it to be disrespectful of humans for the animal to be ran over repeatedly.
Education & Work:
➼ He dropped out of college - was forced to attend for a Business degree but was taking classes for a degree in Zoology, unbeknownst to his Father.
➼ He interned at a Zoo in his college years.
➼ He did dog walking & training for several years.
➼ After being referred to as a stark look-alike, he reluctantly took a modeling gig for a comic convention once where he donned the space suit of the main character of a TV show, Cosmic Afterburn.
Hobbies/Misc:
➼ He was taught to play violin and piano; he only really knows a little bit of piano and failed violin.
➼ No professional, but he is self-taught in a bit of acoustic guitar.
➼ He only indulged in alcohol socially at family events or things his brother dragged him to, so he doesn't have the highest tolerance to it. He favors whiskey and beer.
➼ He has several tattoos scattered along his arms; lobes are pierced.
➼ While he enjoys and has been to concerts, he tends to lingering in the back to avoid the crowds and excessive noise.
➼ He's disappeared from his family house several times. A majority of the times were when he disappeared to the Red Mountain in Georgia; his final disappearance was on a mountain (The Taebaek Mountains) in South Korea. In DBD official Lore, it has recently been implied that he was taken in the Georgia mountains, I've chosen to stick to my own lore and kept it the mountains in South Korea.
General DBD: these are used primarily to help in writing more cohesively on twitter.
➼ They do not need to eat or drink to live, but can and do.
➼ Animals are a luxury that only appear sparsely, dropped by the Entity as a prize for jobs well done and/or to make them feel more like they are home. This will be referenced by Jake often as I headcanon that he hunts and sets traps in the realm.
➼ Memories can be blurred and altered by the Entity.

Despite his parents stressing the importance of physical appearance, Jake isn’t one to care much about it. On the contrary, he finds a messy look to be appealing. Shaggy ebony hair has been cut by a hunting blade one too many times. He often lets it grow long enough to pull it back into a half-bun or a small ponytail. Dark brown eyes are nearly obsidian. While he’s usually clean shaven, he doesn’t care much when he does get scruffy and has been known to don the occasional beard when not. However, more often than not, he keeps up with the trimming. His arms are covered in tattoos reflecting his adoration of nature. One arm is a sleeve of a mountain-scape while the other has various smaller images including a compass, a deer skull, and a tree with hangul written into the trunk. The artwork is usually hidden by sleeves as he often wears jackets. He can most commonly be seen in a green windbreaker with beige cargos; or in a black and red long sleeve plaid shirt partially concealed by a dark blue vest accompanied by a pair of simple black jeans and brown boots. However, as of late, he favors wearing his denim jacket adorned in wildlife patches and a loose pair of weathered blue jeans that kissed the Earth more times than one could count. Catch him on a good, warm day and you may spot him in a more fashionable floral top; half-buttoned and accessorized with necklaces that he only sometimes bothers with. Rarely does he not wear gloves and he almost always has a rainbow crow charm attached to his belt loop.

Right Arm: Various nature-inspired pieces ranging from a compass, deer skull (half fur, half skull), feathers, arrow shaped like trees, crescent moon with campsite, simplistic mountain. Note: while it's small, the word "Hero" is written in Hangul on the trunk of korean red pine tattoo, in honor of his grandfather. All black & white.

Left Arm: Mountain trail inspired sleeve. All black & white.

Post Realm: A crow hugging a heart is over his chest where his heart is - this is the only partially colored piece he has as the heart is a dark red. On his right wrist beneath the simplistic mountain silhouette, he gets morse code for "Survivor".

PersonalityKey traits: Quiet, solitary, calm, resourceful, guarded but open-minded.Jake prefers the company of animals to people. He is a solitary spirit and can come off as cold due to his preference of being left alone. His lack of trust in people has made him a bit reluctant to believe in the good of others; but he has spent the past few years of his life working on improving this trait. In his youth, he was brought up to be respectful and modest. While they are not traits he loathes, the pressure from his father for perfection drove him to resent the picture-perfect lifestyle. Jake’s consistent failures in his father’s eyes caused him to prefer to keep a low profile in constant fear of scrutiny. This feeling caused some resentment and made him bitter towards people in general. He has always struggled with socialization and this reflects in his poor track record for friendships and relationships. He grew to dislike society and proved as much by disputing and rebuking most people while simultaneously ignoring everyone. This worsened when the one relationship he tried to create was later used against him, causing him to develop trust issues and further solidifying his disdain of people. After running away from home due to the weight of his father’s ever growing expectations, he did soften. Stories from the locals near his grandfather’s home delighted him and evoked a sense of hope and adoration for the man. This taught him to appreciate people and to try and understand. To try to forgive. Once he was taken by the fog, his solidified hatred of people had subtly dissolved. He entered the fog in a still bitter state towards his father and his impossible-to-reach goals, but his time trapped within the realm has give him time to reflect. These days he’s a quiet loner who simply prefers to keep to himself. He’s still very wary and not exactly quick to trust. He tends to be very anxious in group settings. However, despite being awkward with interacting with people, he does care about them and aspires to help the way his Grandfather did. His admiration of the man has given him a silent hero complex - one that drives him to jump in to make the save while later keeping a twelve foot distance from the person. He’s no longer one to start a fight, having taught himself to work on a calmer spirit. But he is quite capable of handling himself in one as he had plenty in his youth. He’s a tired soul at heart and can often come across as grumpy. Physical contact still makes him nervous, but he does crave and enjoy it underneath it all.
